Vigneron: Eric Casimir
The 12 hectares of Domaine Gerard Metz are situated on the slopes of the Vosges mountains, where the slope of Fruehmess has the ideal exposure. Coupled with the Grand Cru vineyards at Muenchberg with soil sediments dating back 250 million years they have earned a bit of a reputation! All Alsatian grape varieties are grown: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. The average age of the vines are 35 years.
